The Imagine Peace Tower in Hvalfjörður, Iceland is a monument dedicated to world peace. It was created by Yoko Ono, the widow of John Lennon, and was unveiled on October 9, 2007, which would have been Lennon's 67th birthday. The tower is a beam of light that shoots up into the sky and is visible for miles around.

The tower is located on the island of Viðey, just off the coast of Reykjavik. To get there, you can take a ferry from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik. The ferry runs daily, with departures at 1:15 pm, 3:15 pm, and 5:15 pm. The journey takes about 20 minutes and the round-trip fare is 1,500 ISK (about $12 USD).

The Imagine Peace Tower is only illuminated from October 9 (Lennon's birthday) until December 8 (the anniversary of his death). During this time, the tower is lit from 6 pm to midnight. Outside of these dates, the tower is not illuminated.

There is no official website for the Imagine Peace Tower, but you can find more information about visiting Viðey Island on the Reykjavik Excursions website.

While on Viðey Island, you can also visit other attractions such as the Viðeyjarstofa Restaurant, the Viðeyjarsund Sculpture Park, and the ruins of a 12th-century monastery. The restaurant is open daily from 11 am to 5 pm, while the sculpture park and monastery ruins are open during daylight hours.
